Your feedback matters! In just under one week the Kentucky Olmstead Plan Survey will close. This is your chance to share feedback about how disability services are going in Kentucky.
In 1999, the U.S. Supreme Court made a very important decision called the Olmstead Decision. It said that people with disabilities have the right to live in their communities, just like everyone else. This means they can live in their own home or with others, even if they need extra help.
Kentucky is reviewing its Olmstead Plan to make sure people with disabilities get the support they need to live in the community. The Human Development Institute at the University of Kentucky, on behalf of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, is gathering feedback to see how services are working and where they can improve.
We hope you will take a few minutes to complete the survey.
The survey is open through January 15, 2025. Your input is important and will help shape the future of disability services!
