The full-time Outreach Specialist ($14 an hour, 40 hours a week in the Louisville office or other locations if needed) assists the Project Director and Assistant Director in the daily coordination of Parent Training and Information activities. This person will foster and maintain relationships with parent educators, other statewide partners and board members; helping them organize events in their area of the state with board involvement. The Outreach Specialist will work with other organizations in collaborative efforts for workshops, training events, and participation in community involvement events. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, outgoing, approachable, strong work ethic, able to present to groups, and has a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Experience/knowledge of Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), IEP’s, IFSP’s, disability rights, disability systems navigation, and inclusion is a plus. Must be able to travel statewide. The half-time Training Coordinator ($14 an hour, 20 hours a week in the Louisville office or other locations if needed) is needed to organize and plan training activities throughout the state, and will be responsible for coordinating workshops statewide. This person will be responsible for training and coordinating all training activities, including workshops for parents, siblings and self-determination workshops for persons with disabilities, including teens with disabilities and workshops on the website. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, outgoing, approachable, strong work ethic, able to present to groups, and has a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Regional Parent Educator Consultants are needed (must commit to 40 hours per month at $400 a month) to provide training and information services throughout the state. These parent educators will conduct workshops, attend meetings representing the agency, attend community fairs, set up booths, problem solve with parents, and serve as a resource in their region of the state. They will be working with community partners to increase the SPIN presence in their area. They should be active, involved members of their local communities, who want to bring positive change for parents and children with disabilities. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, outgoing, approachable, strong work ethic, able to present to groups, and has a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
